SVP of Human Resources, Fortune-Scale Organization

I came into my role as SVP of Human Resources with high standards and a clear sense of what meaningful advisory support actually looks like. I have worked with a number of assessment and consulting firms over the course of my career, and that experience has taught me to recognize the difference between surface-level insight and work that genuinely helps leaders succeed.

My relationship with LDW began before I was even hired. As an external candidate for the SVP role, I went through their executive assessment process. It was rigorous, practical, and grounded in the realities of operating at the senior leadership level. The developmental feedback I received was direct, insightful, and immediately useful as I stepped into a complex role with high expectations.

After I was hired, the work continued. My LDW Consultant facilitated a Key Partnership Accelerator session between me and my new boss, which became a catalyst for a strong and effective working relationship. That session accelerated trust, alignment, and clarity at a critical moment. Shortly thereafter, she also facilitated a New Leader Assimilation with my direct report team, helping us establish clarity, shared expectations, and momentum early in my tenure.

As my scope expanded, I brought LDW in to support broader leadership initiatives across the organization. This included serving as a guest speaker at our leadership conference, assessing and coaching senior leaders reporting to the President, and designing and facilitating multiple leadership team interventions. That work has driven a fundamental shift in how our senior leadership team operates. What had been a group of strong functional leaders working largely in isolation is now a cohesive team with a collective mindset. They support one another, share resources, and hold themselves and each other accountable.

What I value most is how straightforward and down to earth my LDW Consultant is, combined with an uncommon level of insight into leadership dynamics and organizational realities. She has a strong sense of what works and what does not at senior levels, and she and her LDW colleagues bring that perspective into every conversation.

In many ways, the success of the work is reflected in how the team now operates independently. My LDW Consultant remains a trusted partner behind the scenes, available when needed, but always focused on building real leadership capability rather than dependence.
